Yutaka Ohama
Yutaka Ohama came to IIPS as a Senior Research Fellow in February 1999 from Mitsui & Co., Ltd. He received degrees in science and economics from the University of Tokyo, and an MBA from Stanford University. At Mitsui, he was involved in the company's overseas direct investments as project manager and in-house consultant for foreign direct investment. For the last six years he has been a senior economist in Mitsui's research institute.

Jun Osawa
Jun Osawa joined IIPS as a research fellow in April 1995. He received M.A. degree in political science from Keio University. Ph.D. Candidate at Keio University. 2004-2006, He served as an analyst (WMD issue) for the Intelligence and Analysis Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MOFA). 2007-2009, he served as a policy planning advisor for the Policy Planning Division, Foreign Policy Bureau, MOFA. 2009, he was appointed a senior research fellow.

Keisuke Shimada
Meiji University, Faculty of Law. Joined Tokyo Electric Power Company(TEPCO) In 1985. Corporate Affairs Dept, Secretary Dept, Affiliated Companies Dept, Office of Assistant to Auditors, Kanagawa Branch Office of TEPCO. Seconded to IIPS in 2009.

Satoshi Shimizutani
University of Tokyo, Law Department. Joined the Economic Planning Agency in 1990. Received Ph.D in Economics from University of Michigan in 2002. Worked at Coordination Bureau, Research Bureau, Ministerfs Secretariat and Economic and Social Research Institute. Seconded to IIPS 2007.

Kensuke Wasa
Waseda University, School of Political Science.  Joined Ministry of Finance in 1994.  Received Diploma in Economics from London School of Economics and Political Science in 1997 and M.A. in International Political Economy from University of Warwick in 1999.  Worked at Planning and Coordination Bureau of Financial Services Agency, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Department of Iwate Prefectural Government, Finance Minister’s Secretariat and Policy Research Institute of MOF.  Seconded IIPS in 2010.

Takaaki Yoshioka
Shiga University, Faculty of Economics. Joined the Bank of Japan in 1982. Received Ph.D. in International Public Policy from Osaka University in 2002, Ph.D. in Law from Kumamoto University in 2005, Ph.D. in Economics from Sichuan University in 2006, and Ph.D. in Political Science from Waseda University in 2010. At the Bank of Japan, worked as International Department, Management Planning Department, Director of Currency Issue Department, and Auditor of Internal Auditors’ Office. Seconded to IIPS in 2009.



IIPS
