IIPS publishes policy papers (also called blue papers) and reports periodically throughout the year. These policy papers are usually the result of research conducted by distinguished and senior research fellows and cover a wide variety of topics. Most are originally written in Japanese and then translated and edited in English.

Conference reports often consist of papers presented at IIPS-sponsored conferences and symposia or summary reports of the papers presented at conferences. Below is a listing of reports that are available in either Japanese and English or only in English. Japanese-only reports are not listed.
